Cahir Downhill Half Marathon
This event is a downhill, road, point to point half marathon from Kilbehenny to Cahir, losing over 70 meters in height from start to finish. There will be refreshments after the race, showers, a two course meal, a technical T-shirt and prizes for the winners. Physios will be on hand after the race. Hosted by Mooreabbey Milers AC.
This will be the 2nd annual Cahir Downhill Half Marathon. Beginning in Kilbehenny, the gateway to the Galtees and running exactly 13.1 miles along a very good road surface to the historical town of Cahir, Co. Tipperary. This is technically a downhill route as 70 m in height is lost from start to finish. The route is mostly flat with a few minor pulls. A great atmosphere is guaranteed. Very good value at €40 incl booking fee, two course meal, technical t-shirt, goody bag, physios, showers, family entertainment at finish line area.
Pacers: 90 mins, 100 mins, 110 mins, 2 hrs, 2.10, 2.20.
€50 late registration taken on the race morning from 8.00 to 8.30 am. No guarantee of a t-shirt.
50% of profits go to iCAN, juvenile arthritis charity. Remainder goes directly back into Mooreabbey Milers AC's club development.

Number & t-shirt collection in Cahir House Hotel on Saturday 9th from 5 to 8 pm. Also Sunday morning from 8.00 to 8.30 am in Cahir House Hotel also.
Shuttle bus from race headquarters in Cahir (castle car park) @ 9.00 am to the race start in Kilbehenny. Arrive @ 9.25 am. (for those who require it)
Warm up at 9.30, Race starts at 10.00 am.
Baggage area in castle car park. No facility for clothes collection at race start.

Showers/dressing rooms in the GAA grounds, located 500 m from finish line.
BBQ served in Inch Field behind the castle.
